Eagles head coach expects Josh Huff to play Sunday

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Josh Huff was arrested early Tuesday morning for speeding. The former Oregon product was in possession of marijuana and a firearm at the time of the arrest (more on that here).

Needless to say, Huff himself is in some hot water off the field.

Though, it doesn’t look like this will impact his ability to suit up Sunday against the New York Giants.

Huff was eventually charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, DUI and possessessing less than 50 grams of marijuana.

While Eagles head coach Doug Pederson did indicate that there’s no change in Huff’s status for Sunday’s game, he’s obviously concerned about the arrest.

As it is, this is a legal situation right now. Until that’s resolved or the NFL gets involved, the Eagles really have no recourse here. Short of releasing Huff, it makes sense that he would suit up until everything is decided off the field.

Huff, a third-round pick of the Eagles back in 2014, has recorded 13 receptions for 72 yards and a touchdown thus far this season.
