WATCH: Sam Bradford and Carson Wentz trade five straight turnovers

Vikings quarterback Sam Bradford on Monday Night Football

It’s been a rough homecoming for Sam Bradford in Philadelphia today as the Minnesota Vikings take on the Eagles. But he wasn’t alone feeling miserable early in this one, as he and rookie Carson Wentz combined on five straight turnovers.

Right after the Vikings had intercepted Wentz, handing the offense an easy scoring opportunity, Bradford threw his first interception of the game.

Then on the next offensive possession after Minnesota’s defense once again created a turnover on Wentz, Bradford didn’t see backside pressure. He had the ball stripped right out of his hand by Connor Barwin. Safety Malcolm Jenkins recovered the ball and returned it for a touchdown. After review, however, he was ruled down when he fell on the ball.

Then, unbelievably, Wentz threw his second interception of the game on the very next drive.

It’s still a 0-0 game right now, so this could all turn into something positive still for Bradford or Wentz later on. But right now, both are struggling mightily to do anything right.
