Odell Beckham Jr. hit with another expensive fine

Odell Beckham Jr.

The NFL has a special place in its heart for Odell Beckham Jr., who was hit once again with a stiff penalty that will cost him some serious cash.

Per Pro Football Talk, Beckham Jr. was fined $24,309 for unsportsmanlike conduct stemming from his post-touchdown celebration against the Baltimore Ravens. The foul in this case? That Beckham Jr. took his helmet off after his game-clinching score.

It’s getting to the point now where if the NFL doesn’t fine Beckham Jr. after a game, then something must be wrong.

The emotional receiver has now been fined on multiple occasions this year, including a fine for a touchdown dance, a dirty hit and for taunting. We passed along information a few weeks back that the young man could be subject to suspension if he incurs any more serious personal foul penalties as well.

Clearly, keeping his emotions in check is a challenge. Heck, even Eli Manning is growing weary of his receiver’s antics.

Hopefully the talented wideout does learn to follow the NFL’s rules a bit better in the future, both for his sake and for the sake of his teammates.
