There were varying reports regarding the seriousness of the knee injury Denver Broncos running back C.J. Anderson suffered Monday night against the Houston Texans.
One report early Thursday morning indicated that Anderson would miss the remainder of the season. Though, Anderson himself later refuted said report.
Now comes news that Anderson will in fact be placed on injured reserve after undergoing surgery on the injured knee on Thursday.
With his final test wrapped up, #Broncos RB CJ Anderson will have an arthroscopic procedure on his knee today, source said. Headed to IR.

This is a major blow for a Broncos team that relies a great deal on running the ball. Anderson has put up a team-high 437 rushing yards and four touchdowns to go with an average of four yards per rush.
With Anderson sidelined, potentially for the season, rookie running back Devontae Booker will get an opportunity to start for the Broncos. The former Utah standout is coming off a breakthrough performance that saw him put up 83 yards and a touchdown on 17 attempts against Houston on Monday.
Booker is definitely an unheralded player to watch this week and moving forward on the season.
