Russell Wilson hobbled after Ndamukong Suh stepped on ankle

A potentially big development is coming out of the Miami Dolphins at Seattle Seahawks game. While rushing (and sacking) Russell Wilson, Ndamukong Suh stepped on the foot of Seattle’s star quarterback.

This is sure to generate a few questions.

One, did Suh do it on purpose?

Given his history, it’s fair to speculate on that. But in this case, it doesn’t look like there was any intent. If anything, it looked like Wilson threw his foot in the direction of Suh’s leg.

Suh was not even looking at Wilson’s feet and is certainly entitled to the space. There’s absolutely nothing to suggest that Suh moved the direction of his leg in any way towards Wilson’s foot.

It’s unfortunate, but certainly appears accidental. Injuries like that do happen in football

Two, is Wilson okay?

He did remain in the game but was significantly hobbled, even after getting his ankle taped. This could be a big problem going forward in the short term.

Still, it’s worth noting that the Seahawks have used a run heavy offense in the past.

Wilson’s health will be something to watch for the rest of this game, and in the coming week.
