NFL announces Randy Gregory suspended another 10 games

Randy Gregory

The Dallas Cowboys will be without second-year defensive end Randy Gregory up until Week 16.

This is the bad news the team received on Thursday when the NFL announced that the troubled youngster has officially been suspended for an additional 10 games.

Gregory was originally suspended the first four games of the season for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. After reportedly failing another test, it was reported that Gregory would indeed be suspended late into the season.

That’s now become a reality.

With fellow defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence still suspended and after refusing to retain Greg Hardy during the spring, Dallas remains extremely thin from a pass-rushing standpoint.

This news surely won’t help matters much. It could also play a major role in the team’s success moving forward. While Gregory didn’t do a whole bunch as a rookie last season, he is among the most-talented defensive players on the team.
