The Los Angeles Dodgers have been linked to pretty much every big name available on the trade block.

Now, with less than a week remaining until the deadline, the team is looking to improve its standing in the National League West.

Reports have linked the Dodgers to everyone from Chicago White Sox starter Chris Sale to Kansas City Royals closer Wade Davis.

With a vast amount of fortune in the farm system and a seemingly endless amount of money to spend, Los Angeles will likely make a pretty big move between now and Monday’s deadline.

One name that continues to be bandied about as possible bait is enigmatic outfielder Yasiel Puig.

The 25-year-old Cuban prodigy has been a major disappointment for the Dodgers over the past year-plus. He’s hitting just .255 with seven homers and 32 RBI thus far this season. That comes on the heels of the outfielder posting an identical .255 average in 2015.

Though, there’s still a ton of promise here. Puig’s talents suggest that he has five-tool capabilities. And in reality, a change in scenery might do wonders for him.

In terms of a potential match, the aforementioned Royals might make some sense. They have an elite-level option in Wade Davis on the trade block, and would be looking for an equal return. Any potential trade could realistically include Puig.

This is most definitely something to keep an eye on over the next several days.
