The Atlanta Braves are getting creative trying to make SunTrust Park more fun for fans. One of the ideas on the table at this time is adding a zip line for fans to enjoy while taking in a game at the ball park, which is set to open in time for the 2017 MLB season.

“The Atlanta Business Chronicle reports the zip line would most likely be placed behind the video board to carry people from one end of the concourse to the other,” writes Marcy Williams of AM 750 WSB Radio.

One wonders just how the insurance adjusters might view such an arrangement.

Also, if this is going to be used as a means of transport, one wonders if having just one zip line would be enough of a draw or if it would just turn into a nuisance.

Long lines are something most of us gladly avoid whenever possible. But you have to imagine the line to zip through the air would be jam packed with excited kiddos and parents who’d rather be watching the actual game.

Perhaps a huge slide with multiple lanes might be a better idea here than a zip line.

On the other hand, if the folks making decisions think that having an added attraction like a zip line that runs through a large portion of the stadium would bring in the fans, then more power to them.

At the least, it would probably act as a novelty for a little while before the “zip” of the attraction fades.
