WATCH: Von Miller strips Cam Newton, sets up Broncos’ TD

Credit: Chris Humphreys-USA TODAY Sports

Thanks to a superb rush and strip-sack from Von Miller, the first Super Bowl touchdown of Super Bowl 50 belongs to Malik Jackson of the Denver Broncos.

Jackson is probably not the man that most people were expecting to reel in the game’s first score.

The Broncos defense has completely dominated the Carolina Panthers so far in Super Bowl 50. The Panthers have converted only two first downs — one via a penalty — and for the first time in the postseason, are playing from behind. It took Carolina most of the first quarter to even cross midfield.

The Broncos lead the Panthers 10-0, and the Miller-led pass rush is a big reason why.
