Jimmy Graham laughs off idea that he was ever upset with the Seahawks

Jimmy Graham

Is Seattle Seahawks tight end Jimmy Graham p****d off or not?

Reports surfaced earlier this week that indicated that Graham was ticked because he was underutilized, only garnering two targets which resulted in one catch in last Sunday’s road loss to the Green Bay Packers.

When Graham addressed the press on Friday and was asked about how mad he actually is, he responded with laughter.

“Yeah, I’ve been reading the same thing. That’s a surprise to me. I’m not really sure where that came from,” said Graham according to Gregg Bell of the News Tribune.

In fact, the original report actually said that Graham “hates” what is happening with new team and that he has been telling teammates this: “Why did you bring me here if this is how you are going to treat me?”

Graham further elaborated into how the original article claiming he was mad actually surfaced.

“But I’m not really sure where all these articles started. You know, especially since I said nothing to nobody,” he said, alluding to the fact no outlet has quoted him following either game. “Usually, I figure to write stories you’ve got to have some kind of source – which should be me. And this certainly wasn’t.”

Graham did own up to being frustrated in general because the Seahawks are 0-2 after disappointing back-to-back losses.

“You know, I like to win, and I hate to lose. So frustration comes because we are 0-2,” Graham said, “and we are a lot better than that.”

Graham concluded that he is doing what is being asked of him and that he knows his opportunities will come. This may certainly be the case when the Seahawks host the Chicago Bears this week. The team needs to start winning, and not getting the ball to Graham certainly has played a factor in their two losses.

As for any discord between Graham and the Seahawks, it appears someone must have gotten their signals crossed. Or, Graham has simply gotten over it.
