Watch: Tim Tebow still has no clue

Forget about all the good stuff you’ve heard about Tim Tebow this summer.

It’s all lies.

Tebow still sucks.

At the time this is being written (just over five minute left in the game), Tebow had completed half his passes (6 of 12) for 69 yards and had been sacked three times for 28 yards. One of his completions cannot be credited to him, and a few of his incompletions have been wildly inaccurate.

Most of that lost yardage came on this ridiculous play.

This is basic stuff.

Tebow has to know to get rid of the ball when the defender comes that close to sacking him. However, old instincts die hard, and Tebow used to get away with turning his back to the field to scramble—back in college, that is.

What he did here is inexcusable. Get rid of the ball and live to fight another day. Throw the ball out of bounds. Don’t take a ridiculous sack.

At this point, it doesn’t seem like he’ll ever learn this basic lesson, however. And, after so much hype this summer, it seems like he might not be long for the unemployment line.

Also worth tracking is Chip Kelly’s spin game this upcoming week. He’s always good for a couple (hundred) quotable lines, and it’s going to be interesting to see what he has to say about this pet project.
