The Kansas City Royals are one game behind the Minnesota Twins in the American League Central, but that hasn’t stopped the reigning AL champs from dominating the All-Star Game ballot box.
Per an MLB release, seven—yes, seven—Royals are currently in position to start the 2015 All-Star Game, while second baseman Omar Infante and outfielder Alex Rios are just one spot out at their respective positions.

Without a doubt, things could change over the next few weeks. Detroit Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera might overtake Eric Hosmer, and Seattle Mariners designated hitter Nelson Cruz could jump Kendrys Morales.
However, third baseman Mike Moustakas, shortstop Alcides Escobar, catcher Salvador Perez and outfielders Lorenzo Cain and Alex Gordon are relatively close to locking up a starting spot.
According to The Washington Post, Major League Baseball noted the record for most All-Star Game starters from a single team is six, which was set by the 1939 New York Yankees.
If the Royals somehow manage to retain their current position—and perhaps even add Infante to the mix—the only non-Kansas City players in the AL starting lineup will be the starting pitcher and Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout.
