Tim Tebow Opens up a Philippines Hospital Where his Mom Rejected Aborting Him

This is a fantastic story. Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Tim Tebow has opened up The Tebow CURE Hospital in Davao City, Philippines.

The Philippines is where Tebow’s mom, Pam, and father were traveling when she suddenly became sick with dysentery. Doctors told her that an abortion would be the only way to save her life. Tebow reports that his mom’s doctors described him as a “fetal tumor” and “mass of cells,” both of which needed to be removed.

Obviously, Tebow’s mom rejected the abortion. The fact that he’s living is also proof that the diagnosis was severely incorrect. The Tebow CURE Hospital is a facility that focuses on treating kids with orthopedic conditions. It was reported that many donors helped contribute to the facility, including the Tim Tebow Foundation and the Sacred Harvest Foundation.

At a ribbon cutting ceremony, the Mayor of Davao City, Dale Brantner, had the following to say about the hospital:

“We’ve been looking forward to this day for a long time. After many years of prayer and much hard work, I am thrilled to be able to say the Tebow CURE Hospital is officially open! In this place, we will share the love of Jesus and bring physical healing to children and families who desperately need it.”

Wow.

Putting football aside, it is difficult not to be impressed with Tebow’s efforts to assist in bettering the lives of the youth around the world.
