The media circus that is Johnny Manziel doesn’t promise to get any quieter as his rookie season with the Cleveland Browns nears. For his part, Manziel isn’t really happy with the attention that he’s received since being selected in the first round of the 2014 NFL draft back in May.
Manziel had this to say (via NFL.com).
I don’t think I’m doing anything wrong…If I want to be with my friends during my free time, I have the right.
Manziel continued…
I’m not going to change for anybody…I’m going to enjoy my time off.
It’s been my view that Johnny should very well be allowed to be Johnny during the offseason. He hasn’t broken the law and is enjoying his lifestyle. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it.
Once Manziel’s “off-field antics” start impacting his performance on the field, then someone might want to talk about it. Until then, he’s a young man living the life.
For his part, Manziel seems to be fed up by the scrutiny that’s being thrown his way.

The one thing Manziel might want to learn moving forward is to avoid social media and reading his own headlines.
