New Dallas Cowboys defensive end Greg Hardy may not actually find the field in the regular season until Week 12 after the league suspended him for 10 games this past week.
This doesn’t mean that Hardy won’t be making news around Cowboys camp until he actually suits up for the team.
Friday’s news is not of the good variety.
Hardy, who sat out all but one game last season while on the Commissioner’s Exempt List due to a domestic violence case, reportedly got into a “verbal altercation” with a teammate on Friday.

The report went on to indicate that Hardy and Coleman had to be separated by teammates during conditioning drills.
There’s no information about who started the scuffle, but it’s not a good way for Hardy to start his Cowboys career.
The talented defensive end was originally convicted of domestic violence in an ugly case surrounding his ex-girlfriend. After requesting a new trial, the charges against Hardy were dropped earlier this year when the alleged victim failed to show up to court after the two sides came to some sort of a financial agreement.
Hardy signed an incentive-laden one-year contract with Dallas this offseason. The deal calls for $9.3 million in game-day bonuses, totals that will be lowered considerably due to his 10-game suspension.
Another off-field incident involving domestic violence could lead to a lifetime ban for Hardy.
