The New York Yankees signed right-hander Shelby Miller to a minor league contract on Sunday.

The 31-year-old Miller also will receive an invitation to major league spring training.

The former All-Star went 0-1 with a 9.24 ERA in 13 relief outings last season while splitting time with the Chicago Cubs (three appearances) and Pittsburgh Pirates (10).

Miller owns a 38-57 record and 4.19 ERA in 163 appearances (132 starts) over nine seasons with the St. Louis Cardinals (2012-14), Atlanta Braves (2015), Arizona Diamondbacks (2016-18), Texas Rangers (2019), Cubs and Pirates.

Miller was an All-Star for the Braves in 2015. His best season was 2013 when he went 15-9 with a 3.06 ERA in 31 starts for the Cardinals.

Miller underwent Tommy John surgery in 2017 and has never fully bounced back.
