Wyoming QB Josh Allen out Saturday with shoulder injury

With likely only a few more games left in his college career, Wyoming quarterback Josh Allen has a limited opportunity to impress NFL scouts as he prepares for the annual draft this upcoming spring.

Unfortunately for Allen, he will miss Saturday’s game against Fresno State with a sprained AC joint in his throwing shoulder.

This most definitely isn’t good news for the quarterback. NFL teams will be watching the shoulder injury closely. And any indication that it might linger could push Allen from the first round.

The highly divisive signal caller has struggled to an extent this season with a weak supporting cast.

In 10 games, Allen is completing just 56 percent of his passes for 1,658 yards with 13 scores and six interceptions. He’s still considered a Day 1 pick by many experts.
