The Chicago White Sox reinstated right-hander Vince Velasquez from the 15-day injured list on Monday.

In a corresponding move, the White Sox optioned RHP Matt Foster to Triple-A Charlotte.

Velasquez is 3-3 with a 5.21 ERA in 14 games (eight starts) this season, his first with the White Sox.

Foster, 27, is 1-2 with a 4.50 ERA in 47 appearances this season for the ChiSox.
