WATCH: Yankees turn double play of the season vs. Mets

The New York Yankees were busy flashing the leather during Tuesday’s game against the cross-city rival Mets.

Just ask Mets outfielder Michael Conforto who looked like he was going to continue a rally in the sixth inning. Conforto hit a hard ground ball to second base off James Paxton.

That’s when Gleyber Torres and Didi Gregorius converged for the best double play you’ll see this season.

Not only did Torres come up with the ball, his flip to second was right on the money. Didi did the rest from there to maintain a 2-1 lead.

We know the Yankees can hit. We also know the Mets are struggling big time. But this play shows us just how good the Yankees can be. Whew.
