The No. 18 Virginia came out of the first half feeling confident with a lead against No. 10 Notre Dame. Now the Cavaliers are feeling even better after executing a stunning onside kick and recovering it to begin the second half.

Notre Dame took the field after halftime expecting to get the football and a chance to jump back into the game. The Fighting Irish were utterly unprepared for the onside kick, which Virginia easily recovered.

These are the types of risky moves that can help lead the way to a stunning upset. While it certainly came with risk, the Cavaliers picked the perfect time for it and executed it perfectly.
