New York Knicks fans are obviously not happy with former star Kristaps Porzingis, who requested a trade during the 2018-19 season.

Making his first appearance back at Madison Square Garden as a member of the Dallas Mavericks, Porzingis was treated to an ugly scene by Knicks fans Thursday evening.

This included some on hand at MSG chanting “traitor” and “go back to Latvia” during the national anthem.

That’s just an ugly scene right there. Guess that’s better than kneeling during the anthem, right?

Knicks fans also treated Porzingis to a ton of boos during pre-game introductions.

There’s really no room in sports for this. Regardless of how his tenure ended in the Big Apple, Knicks fans should be ashamed of themselves.
