Tua Tagovailoa NFL Draft
Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

Tua Tagovailoa may be seen by some as a risk due to the restrictions in place ahead of the NFL draft due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But the former Alabama star sure looks good as he recovers from season-ending hip surgery last November.

Tagovailoa shared a short video Monday night that highlights his footwork, and my goodness he’s looking sharp.

From the moment he had his surgery until now, Tagovailoa has gotten good news at every checkpoint in his recovery.

The big thing now that could cause him to potentially drop in the draft is that teams cannot perform a physical — a development that may extend for some time now in light of an announcement about all NFL-related physicals Monday evening.

However, this young man absolutely has the talent to succeed at the NFL level. We recently mocked him very early in Round 1, and even if his stock takes a tumble he’ll almost certainly be a first-round quarterback when it’s all said and done.
