As Clemson Tigers true freshman quarterback Trevor Lawrence starts to figure it out at the college level, the swagger follows. He showed plenty of it on Saturday throwing a 22-yard touchdown pass then staring down South Carolina’s bench.

Lawrence nailed the throw to wide receiver Tee Higgins for the 22-yard score to give Clemson a 14-7 lead, then immediately turned his eyes towards Gamecocks head coach Will Muschamp.
The freshman quarterback’s bullet to Higgins wasn’t as sharp as his eyes locked onto Muschamp with the swagger and confidence that he and the Tigers are about to unleash on South Carolina. Now that Lawrence has those qualities, Clemson becomes an even more dangerous threat in a potential College Football Playoff run.
