The struggling Philadelphia 76ers are already without All-Star Ben Simmons for the foreseeable future after he suffered a back injury last weekend.
Brett Brown’s squad could now be without fellow All-Star Joel Embiid. The center suffered what looked to be an ugly shoulder injury in the first half against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday evening.
Embiid immediately headed for the Sixers’ locker room and was in obvious pain.
It’s initially being described as shoulder discomfort, but there could be more to it.
Embiid has been known as an injury-plagued enigma since he entered the NBA. the hope here that said narrative does not repeat itself.
