Toronto Raptors guard Fred Van Vleet stands at 5-foot-11 and weighs less than 200 pounds. But there’s a lot of energy in that small frame. Just ask LeBron James, who is about nine inches taller and packs 60 more pounds than his counterpart.
In the second quarter of Toronto’s Eastern Conference Semifinals opener against James and the Cleveland Cavaliers, VanVleet took this energy and tried to go after LeBron himself.
“Hold me back. Hold me back.” Seriously, VanVleet had to be restrained by multiple teammates. If they had not held him back, we might be now talking about the artist formerly known as Fred VanVleet.
Pro tip. You don’t want a part of that action, boss.
In some more hilarious information coming from the scene of the near street fight, officials in Toronto awarded VanVleet a technical. We were leaning on the side of a Bronze Star or something of that ilk. But a tech works, too.
