Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr is facing lofty expectations ahead of the 2020 season, and he’s training hard to meet them.
Check out this video. Carr is clearly getting into the playbook with some teammates working out on their own away from team facilities. As you’ll see in another video below, backup quarterback Nathan Peterman and tight end Jason Witten were also there.
Raiders receiver Zay Jones was also on hand catching passes from Carr.
Players have been meeting together the past few days to get work in on the field.
The Raiders made big improvements via free agency and the draft this offseason. They also did not get a replacement for Carr, who has seemingly been on the hot seat the past two seasons.
Marcus Mariota was signed, and if Carr ends up struggling he could take over. But for now, it’s clearly Carr’s team still and he appears to be in great shape heading into the summer months.
