There are few things better in college sports than the creativity shown by college marching bands. Ohio State’s marching band took things to an even more epic level on Saturday.

While the Buckeyes football team welcomed Wisconsin to Ohio Stadium, the marching band took all the fans in attendance on a memorable halftime trip to Bikini Bottom.

As the SpongeBob SquarePants theme played with fans singing along, the band first formed the boat sailing on the water with the captain’s iconic face on the flag. The marching band quickly moved into position to become SpongeBob, then three jellyfish and even Gary the snail.

Of course, the incredible performance didn’t stop there. Ohio State’s marching band went throwback with various memorable characters and moments from SpongeBob SquarePants that the students certainly remember from growing up.

It’s hard to imagine another marching band can top this performance. We certainly hope others will try, though, with some more excellent creativity.
