NC State quarterback Ryan Finley had thrown no interceptions all year long before facing Notre Dame Saturday. Then Julian Love ruined that streak. He ruined it in a major way, intercepting Finley in the third quarter and taking the ball 69 yards for a touchdown.
Finley was under intense pressure when he let the ball go. In hindsight, he would have been better off taking the sack.

This gave the Fighting Irish a 14-point lead and some significant momentum after entering halftime up by one touchdown in what had been a see-saw game that opened with the Wolfpack jumping on the board early with a blocked punt touchdown (watch here). Notre Dame responded a few plays later with a touchdown of its own, and things have mostly been going the way of the Irish ever since.
