Jose Altuve thought he had an extra-base hit, or maybe even a home run Sunday as the Houston Astros hosted the Los Angeles Angels. Mike Trout had different ideas.
Check out this absolutely absurd catch from Trout. Not only did he rob Altuve of a sure extra-base hit, but he did it in style, missing on the first attempt with his glove, then grabbing it with his bare hand before it hit the ground.
Oh, and he also hit two dingers.
Trout has been doing incredible things all season long, both at the plate and on the field. At this point, nothing surprises us any more. He’s just the absolute best there is in baseball, and quite honestly second place isn’t even close.
