Miami struck first in its prime-time battle against Notre Dame when Braxton Berrios hauled in a touchdown pass thrown by Malik Rosier in the first quarter.
Rosier was surgical on the drive, completing three passes for 42 yards and the touchdown strike and running the ball twice for 13 yards. He finished it off with a beautiful pass to the right corner of the end zone, and Berrios laid out to haul it in.

The route running, body control and hands Berrios showed off here on this touchdown catch are all top rate. He’s got NFL eyeballs on him these days because he seems to do stuff like this on a regular basis.
This touchdown put Miami up 7-0 early. Then on Notre Dame’s next offensive possession, Brandon Wimbush threw an interception to Jaquan Johnson, who was more than happy to don the coveted turnover chain as his reward.

Two plays later, Miami scored again when Rosier ran it in from 16 yards out.
The U is most definitely back. And it’s not looking great for Notre Dame early, down by 14 points.
