Matthew Semelsberger and Carlton Minus made their UFC debuts Saturday night in Las Vegas in the second preliminary card matchup of the evening at the Apex.

From the get, it was clear that Semelsberger was going to get the best of his counterpart in their welterweight bout.

A former star defensive back at Marist College, Semelsberger showed us why he could end up being a force in the Octagon. Check out this brutal knock down of Minus in the second round.

What a crazy right jab. Dude dropped him on the mat like a fly. That’s just insane.

In what can’t be considered too much of a surprise, Semelsberger defeated Minus via unanimous decision (30-26, 30-27, 29-28). He landed 72 significant strikes compared to just 35 in three rounds. Talk about a dominating debut.
