Seattle Mariners outfielder Kyle Lewis put his team up over the Houston Astros Friday night with a mammoth home run off Justin Verlander.

Announcing his candidacy for MLB Rookie of the Year in a major way, Lewis sent a 95 mile-per-hour fastball deep on this 438-foot home run.

Here’s a bit more context to show just what kind of power Lewis showed.

Last season, Lewis blasted six home runs in 18 MLB games for the Mariners, and he hit three in his first three games after being called up. Clearly the 25-year-old has some outstanding power. We can’t wait to see more of him during the 2020 MLB season.
