LeBron James let out a primal roar, yelling “lets go!” before Tuesday night’s opener against the Los Angeles Clippers, but his timing was questionable. The Los Angeles Lakers superstar did it while the national anthem was still being sung.

James is clearly pumped up to be playing ball again in the NBA after a brutal 2018-19 season that saw a team he played for miss the playoffs for the first time since the 2004-05 season.

But we’re not too sure about his decision to express that excitement when he did. At the least, it’s a controversial move that will not help people forget about his recent controversial comments regarding China and Houston Rockets executive Daryl Morey.
