Larry Nance Jr. and Marcus Morris were hit with double-technical fouls in the second quarter of Game 5 between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics after an altercation that put a stop to the game for a few minutes.
Morris had just blocked Nance Jr. when he walked over him and began taunting him. Then Nance Jr. had something to say and if the two players had not been separated it’s likely they would have exchanged blows.
As it was, both players shoved one another before teammates and refs got involved.
Terry Rozier was also hit with a technical, which gave the Cavaliers a free throw.
This series has been chippy since early on, and many felt like J.R. Smith should have been ejected and/or suspended for what he did in Game 2 (watch here).
Hopefully, this is the last time we see this type of extra-curricular activity. If not, things could get pretty ugly, pretty fast.
