The Los Angeles Lakers took the court as if they were playing in a packed arena ahead of their scrimmage against the Orlando Magic on Saturday.
Players pretended to hype an invisible crowd in a funny scene that included Dwight Howard emphatically raising his arms up for fans to get up. Here’s video of the energetic display.
It has to be weird for the players to compete like this sans fans. Most of them have been playing in front of packed houses for years, so this season’s experience in the Orlando bubble is unique, to be sure.
The good thing is that these guys clearly still have a passion for what they’re doing, even amid these uncertain times.
