WATCH: Kirk Cousins remains ‘positive’ in defeat, shows promise as a politician

By Jesse Reed

Kirk Cousins might have a future in politics, based on an answer to a question at his post-game press conference on Monday night.

Following a heartbreaking 19-16 loss to NFC East rival Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football, Cousins was asked if the team’s tough losses this year can be viewed in a positive light.

His response was positively brilliant, provided his next career consists of baby kissing and telling white lies for the betterment of humanity.

Just watch.

Gotta love it: “I’m glad you asked…”

Seriously, though. Cousins and Washington, despite the loss and despite the 5-7 record, does have plenty to feel positive about. After all, the team is still tied atop the NFC East with Philadelphia and New York with four games left. And the way things are shaping up, a 7-9 record could be all this team needs to get into the playoffs where they’ll host a wild-card game.

On that note, isn’t it time the league finally changed the playoff format so the best teams actually get in?

We’re “positive” something will happen on that front after this year’s debacle in the NFC East.
