The Carolina Panthers are taking it to the Arizona Cardinals in their first game back from a bye. This was evident early in the second quarter with Carolina already up 14-0.
Cam Newton hit big-bodied wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin on an intermediate slant route. Benjamin beat Cardinals Pro Bowler Patrick Peterson to the spot, turning up field for a whopping 50-yard gain.

Jonathan Stewart would end up scoring from one yard out a few plays later to give Carolina a 21-0 lead over the Cardinals.
This is a must win for Cam Newton and Co. At 1-5 on the season, a loss here would pretty much end their playoff hopes. It’s definitely been a good start for the squad.
