WATCH: Juan Soto celebrates 1-year anniversary of first MLB homer with upper-deck home run

Juan Soto

A year ago today, Juan Soto announced his arrival on the MLB stage with a home run in his first career game. On Tuesday, he celebrated that with an upper-deck bomb.

Soto took a 97-mile-per-hour Zach Wheeler fastball to the moon in the first inning of Tuesday night’s game between the Washington Nationals and New York Mets.

Statcast says it went just 410 feet.

Statcast lied. This absolute rocket shot was Soto’s seventh home run of the season.
