It didn’t take Jalen Hurts long to make his mark with the Oklahoma Sooners, engineering a touchdown on his very first drive with his new club.
Going against Houston Sunday night, the former Alabama star quickly drove the Sooners down the field and capping off their first drive with a 14-yard touchdown pass to Jeremiah Hall.
Hurts completed both of his attempts on the drive for a total of 30 yards as the Sooners marched down the field to score in just 70 seconds of work.
He has a chance to become the third straight Oklahoma quarterback to earn the Heisman Trophy. Based on the team’s first offensive possession of the year, he may just do that.
