What can’t San Diego Padres rookie Fernando Tatis Jr. do? One of the top Rookie of the Year candidates in the NL, the phenom has been brilliant from the lead-off position this season.

Just ask Seattle Mariners starter Yusei Kikuchi, who barely got settled in before Tatis Jr. nailed a lead-off homer to the upper deck in Seattle Wednesday afternoon.

The ball went 409 feet and boasted an exit velocity of nearly 111 mph before the upper deck got in the way.

This represents the third lead-off homer for Tatis Jr. over the past 10 games. He also entered Wednesday’s action hitting .322 with 20 homers and 48 RBI on the season.

Amazing stuff from this youngster already in his young career.
