Deshaun Watson got off to the hottest of starts against Earl Thomas and the Legion of Boom, and then he was taught a lesson.
The phenomenal Houston Texans rookie quarterback put his team up early with a gorgeous touchdown strike to Will Fuller. He burned Thomas in the process, as you could see the All-Pro safety point to himself after Fuller beat him deep (watch here).
Houston’s defense forced the Seattle Seahawks into a punt, and Watson was eager to do some more damage once he got the ball back.
That’s when Thomas taught the rookie to fear the middle of the field. He picked off Watson, who never even saw him lurking, and took the ball 78 yards to the house.
Know where @Earl_Thomas is on the field at ALL times…
