This wasn’t just some rare throw, either. Haskins has been dropping dimes left and right on the practice field.
Dwayne Haskins dropped weight this offseason
A player who was being talked about as potentially one-and-done in Washington this spring, Haskins hasn’t let rumors get him off his game. In fact, he’s taken the opposite approach, working like crazy to get himself ready to compete.
Last year, Haskins was listed at 231 pounds. This year he’s down to 220 and looking svelte.
As a rookie, Haskins had his struggles but also showed promise. He and fellow rookie Terry McLaurin put on a show a few times (watch this), and in the end Haskins finished with decent stats for a first-year quarterback with limited opportunities: 1,365 yards passing with seven touchdowns and seven interceptions.
