Knotted up at 0-0 with nearly 30 minutes gone by in Sunday’s Women’s World Cup Final between USA and Netherlands, Julie Ertz nearly put the Americans up with another incredible strike.

The only thing more exquisite than her strike was the cat-like instincts of Dutch goalie Sari van Veenendaal, who thwarted her attempt.

A short while later, van Veendenaal one-upped herself with two more incredible saves.

These two undefeated squads have been feeling each other out during the first half, and to this point neither has found a chink in the armor. It’s setting up to be a spectacular championship contest.
