Cody Bellinger's struggles have played a role in the Dodgers' demise.

The Los Angeles Dodgers had the Washington Nationals number early in Game 5 of their NLDS series on Wednesday evening.

Up 3-0 in the top of the fourth, starter Walker Buehler saw Howie Kendrick hit the ball deep to center field. It looked like the veteran was about to plate at least one run from second base.

MVP candidate Cody Bellinger had other ideas. Check out this leaping catch Bellinger made to preserve the shutout and keep Los Angeles up 3-0.

Known more for his ability at the plate, Bellinger absolutely robbed Kendrick of extra bases here.

It’s these types of plays that have Los Angeles on the verge of yet another National League Championship Series appearance.
