The Detroit Lions needed someone to step up on offense with Matthew Stafford and Marvin Jones sidelined. So, Danny Amendola did just that for Detroit’s offense with an absurd, diving catch while in tight coverage.

As the Lions struggled to move the ball downfield, quarterback David Blough threw a heave down the sideline on a throw that showed plenty of faith in his receiver. Amendola rewarded his quarterback with a wild grab as he dove through the air.

While Amendola hasn’t seen a lot of opportunities to make big plays this season, he made this target count with a huge play. It also proved to be the spark the offense needed as it found the end zone three plays later.
