WATCH: Bruce Arians loses it after refs blow two big calls that benefit Texans

Aaron Doster-USA TODAY Sports

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were robbed by refs twice in the first quarter of Saturday’s game against the Houston Texans. Bruce Arians was livid.

The first took place when tight end Cameron Brate was tackled by his facemask but didn’t get a call.

Then, not long afterward, linebacker Lavonte David forced a fumble against tight end Darren Fells. Only, the refs ruled forward progress had been stopped.

Down 10-0, these penalties hurt Tampa Bay’s ability to come back in a big way. The first negated what would have been a red-zone opportunity with a first down, and the second, of course, negated a turnover.

Needless to say, Arians was not a happy camper.

Though, if you’ve been watching NFL games this year, you’re likely not surprised to see that the refs are brutally bad.
