During the first quarter of Saturday’s XFL debut between the Seattle Dragons and DC Defenders, Brandon Silvers and Austin Proehl combined to score the first touchdown in league history.
Here it is, in all its glory. Silvers threw a nice ball to Proehl, and the receiver made a very nice catch in traffic.
The touchdown was set up by perhaps an even better play.
The XFL also wowed fans early when a huge hit did not garner a flag, and it’s clear this league is doing everything it can to not look like the NFL.
