The duo of Anthony Davis and LeBron James has been everything the Los Angeles Lakers dreamed of. During Saturday’s game against the Sacramento Kings, the pair showed why with the gorgeous feed followed by an epic slam.
Davis held his position form outside the paint, which immediately drew a second defender to try and force the ball out of his hands. It’s exactly what Davis wanted. He worked his way around the defender then delivered the no-look bounce pass to LeBron, who then hammered it home for the throwdown.
The Lakers returned to the court on Friday night and somehow played after an incredibly emotional pregame ceremony to honor Kobe Bryant. While the team ultimately fell short to the Portland Trail Blazers, it’s responding tonight with a dramatic statement.
It appears this team is starting to find its stride again and channeling their emotions into dominance on the court. Let’s hope even more moments like this are to come during the season and the playoffs.
