The Tampa Bay Rays entered Thursday’s home game against the Los Angeles Angels with a 41-26 record and as one of the best teams in the American League.

Unfortunately, this season has been marred by horrific attendance at Tropicana Field — one of the worst venues in professional sports.

Representing yet another black eye, lights went out inside The Trop delaying the game in the bottom half of the fourth inning.

In turn, Rays fans seemed to be the loudest that they have been all season.

The reactions were as expected.

This is becoming embarrassing not just for the Rays, but for MLB in general. Will commissioner Rob Manfred and Co. do anything about it?
