Patrick Mahomes

There’s one position the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs will not have to target in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft Thursday night.

It goes without saying that the quarterback room is settled with former NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes heading the charge.

Just don’t tell that to actor David Koechner. Best known for his work in the cult classic “Anchorman,” Koechner took to the Chiefs’ pre-draft watch party to suggest the team select a quarterback in Round 1.

This is pure gold right here. Corner the market at quarterback. Why the heck not? It isn’t like the Chiefs need to add much more talent to an already stacked roster.

No word yet on what Ron Burgundy or Brian Fantana think about this idea.
